Everyone’s always heard the saying a dog “is a man’s best friend” … and that statement couldn’t be any truer. A dog to some people may just be a dog, but my dog is my world and my best friend. Dogs are the most loyal type of companion a person can have. They are along with you on your journey every step of the way. They are there for you when you get home from work after a long day and just want to cuddle up on the couch. They are the first one to greet you every morning with a big wet kiss. If you own a dog then you can relate to this just as much as I can. When life gets rough and you feel so alone after a bad breakup, job loss, or losing a loved one… there’s always man’s best friend right by your side through it all. They are there for every tear, for every sleepless night, and every heart break you may have in life. We don’t give our dog’s enough credit for how much their presence is just so comforting during the hard times in our lives. If the world could only love as much as our dogs love us, we would be such a more peaceful place. If we looked at the ones we love the way our dog looks at us, we might be happier with our loved ones, and if we could only forgive the ones that hurt us as easy as our dogs forgives us after we’ve gotten onto them. So you see “man’s best friend” is more than just a dog in my eyes. They protect us, and love us more than anyone or anything else. If you are missing out on knowing this type of love from man’s best friend, or are taking yours for granted then remember they may only be around for part of our lives, but we will be their whole life. So love them as much as you can, and never take them for granted. A dog will teach you and show you there is such thing as unconditional love.
