I heard a young girl make a comment the other day “I wish I was as pretty as …….” At first I didn’t think much about her comment. But, for whatever be the reason I could not get this little girls comment out of my head. The more I dwelled on it the more it broke my heart. This little girl was comparing herself to someone else. We are all guilty of this. I know I have even made that exact same statement before. But why? Why do we compare ourselves to others? Why do we not see our own worth and our own beauty?
Girls, I am here to tell you. Beauty lies from within. There is no person on this earth who should ever make you question your own beauty or your own worth. No One! You are one of kind. There is not another YOU on this earth. God created YOU for a reason. He created your beauty, your heart, and your mind for a reason. You are unique. You are worthy. Don’t ever let anyone tell you differently. Anyone can filter a photo, edit a photo, or make themselves look better on their social media, but is that what truly makes a person beautiful? I believe how you treat others, how loving and caring your heart is, is what makes you a beautiful person. You don’t have to have all the makeup, be a size 1 or 2, or have a perfect life to be beautiful. Treat others with respect; treat others with love and compassion. No one in this world is better than the other we are all beautiful and unique in our OWN way.
God put you on this earth for a reason, you may not know what your reason or purpose is yet, but one day you will. If you want to be a “beautiful” person love yourself first, find your worth, find beauty in your own life. That is what shows the world your beauty. Not the amount of likes you have. Not the amount of followers you have. You will never find your beauty in worldly things. You will never find your beauty in a relationship. You will never find your beauty by being like someone else. Beauty comes from within your mind, heart, and actions.
Quit basing your own beauty off someone else. YOU are beautiful in YOUR own way. Don’t base your own beauty off someone else. Anyone can make themselves look beautiful to the eye… but truthfully, without a beautiful mind, heart, or nice actions their outward beauty will only get them so far in life. Their inward beauty is more important than their outward beauty. Never forget that, don’t settle for only one. Be determined to be both in life, beautiful on the inside and outside. God created YOU. So be YOU. Love often. Love hard. And do not let anyone ever make you question your own beauty in life. To the little girl who wanted to be pretty like another girl. I heard you, you are beautiful, live a beautiful life, see life in a beautiful way. You sweet girl are beautiful in your OWN way.
